Fantastic for IBS, great-tasting & portable! Apr 11, 2008
By C. Peterson I love this product, and use it every single day. I chew two tablets, three times a day, with a half-liter bottle of water per dose, and they help my IBS sooooooooooooooo much. I find them very pleasant-tasting, and I don't find them chalky, at all, but then that's never been a thing that's bothered me about an item. This is a very good price, here at amazon, and since our Vitamin Shoppe will no longer be carrying them in-store, I will now be ordering them here, thru amazon. If you have IBS, try these... they are fabulous.

Don't expect chocolate and they are great! Sep 04, 2007
By Nutri-Seeker These wafers are a great way to beef up your fiber intake on any given day. Easy to chew one or two and when you down them with a glass of water they are rather filling as well, which makes them useful for dieters too.
They do say they are chocolate but there really is hardly any chocolate taste, so as long as that is not your expectation, they are great to have around.

Yes, yes, yes! Jan 19, 2009
By C. Jones After I had gallbladder surgery, they told me I could eat anything...not true; as I slowly came back to being able to digest again, my gallbladder-less body complained in the (not to be gross) most unexpected times (!!) especially after breakfast when I was trying to get out the door to work. Acacia fiber has done the trick, so far, and the chocolate fiber chews almost make me feel guilty, they taste so much like dessert. Be sure to drink lots of water with them; even break them in half and go slowly. I love them, but then what's the alternative?? I'd love to have my gallbladder back, too, and that ain't happening. These aren't like a punishment.

Not so good Aug 28, 2007
By C. Vasarhely I thought these would be so good - they are marketed so well. I really didn't like them (not to say somebody else wouldn't love them - it's a matter of personal taste). The texture was chalky and had a weird chewy feel. I ate 3 of them and threw the rest in the trash. That's how much I didn't like them.
The idea of being able to just pop a couple of "chews" and get more fiber is a great concept. Too bad they didn't taste good to me.

It's fiber, how do you expect it to be? Nov 21, 2008

Chalky, not too chocolaty? It's fiber in a wafer form. It's going to be slightly chalky. And unless you add a ton of sugar, don't expect deep chocolate flavor.
I think these go down very easily, and I like them better than the various inulin fiber wafers. I've tried all sorts of fiber supplements, and Acacia fiber seems to do the trick for me. These wafers are great to keep in the car for use throughout the day. I take two before I eat. I also use Heather's Tummy Fiber which comes in powder form. I blend it with some soy milk in the morning and before bed.
The only negative is the expense. Brenda Watson's products all seem to be a bit overpriced. Vitacost has this cheaper by a little over a buck, and even cheaper if you buy two or more. So I'd only get it here if I needed it right away. Prime membership does have its perks when you're in a pinch. So five stars for the product. Minus one for the price.
